Power Membrane Cleaners
OptiClean™ powder membrane cleaners integrate the most recent biodegradable polyelectrolyte formulations to effectively remove inorganic and organic foulants from today's polyamide thin-film composite and cellulose acetate membranes. Each cleaner mixes quickly and easily into solution to form a liquid mixture that vigorously releases membrane foulants without harming the membrane surface. A regular maintenance schedule including OptiClean™ membrane cleaners ensures optimum system performance.
We offer two different types of powered cleaners, one of low and high pH each which combines chelants and solubilizing agents designed specifically to remove metal hydroxides, calcium carbonate, and other similar scales.

Liquid Membrane Cleaners
Lavasol™ liquid membrane cleaners effectively remove a wide variety of foulants from polyamide thin-film composite and cellulose acetate membranes. Each cleaner dilutes quickly and easily to form a solution that vigorously removes membrane foulants without harming the membrane surface. A regular maintenance program including Lavasol membrane cleaners ensures optimum system performance and maximum element life. Our Lavasol product line includes five formulations designed to serve varying system needs.

Oil flushing is applied for the prevention of rust before the start of operation and inputs of substances into the pipes, usually after chemical cleaning is done. This prevention extends the durability of the facilities and enhance the efficiency of operation.
Hydro Testing/Pressure Testing - TuffChem has extensive experience in performing pressure testing of process equipment such as boilers, vessels, turrets, pipelines, etc. We do this by hydrotesting but can also use other medium including luboils and helium nitrogen. This service includes a detailed inspection report, satisfying all classification society requirements and meets NORSOK standards and NR-13 standards (Brazilian Labour Ministry).
If required, we will work closely with the client to rectify leakages so that pressure can be static and test can be completed without too much interruption. We have a track record doing this on FPSO pre-commissioning for most major clients.
How does Dry-Ice Blasting works?Dry-ice blasting works by propelling dry-ice pellets at a hyper-velocity towards a relatively warm surface that will trigger high impact collisions which is followed by the immediate sublimation of the cold pellets. The rapid sublimation of the pellets are, in effect, micro-explosions that create shockwaves between the coating and the substrate that will cause contaminants or the fractured coating to be lifted from the substrate.

Decontamination is used to remove light and heavy-end hydrocarbons. It can effectively eliminate benzene, toluene, xylene and H2S. At Tuffchem Environmental Services, we offer the most comprehensive hydrocarbon decontamination package in the market today that can effectively reduce downtime, HSE liability, waste disposal, plant’s turnaround, maintenance or emergency shutdown time. Our engineers will work closely with the clients to design the most efficient and cost-effective circulation loops to decontaminate either full or partial refinery units, such as crude and vacuum, coker, thermal and hydro-crackers, FCCU and others.
Tuffchem offers technical support for pre-engineering and execution of the decontamination/chemical cleaning project in the oil refinery and petrochemical industries, and is fully capable of designing and executing Full Unit Decontamination job, where the entire unit can be decontaminated within an estimated 30 hour period.
By working in close cooperation with process engineers, operations and maintenance team, and the incorporation of the company’s principals, Tuffchem can help oil refineries in the Asia Pacific region to mobilize crew and equipment required to carry out chemical cleaning of their refinery process units. This includes specification of temporary pumps, hoses, fitting, pump operations, and anything else that is needed for the job.
TuffChem also provide its clients with comprehensive written procedure and loop diagrams to ensure that job execution is carried out safely, timely, and effectively. All the decontamination procedure and circulation loops are designed with thorough input from the units operations and process engineering personnel; hence by the time of the project execution, Tuffchem decontamination experts together with the Principal [full unit decontamination] ensures to have achieved seamless integration with clients turnaround management and operation team.

LAVASOL™ 1
Lavasol™ 1 is a low pH, low foaming liquid formulation that combines chelants and solubilizing agents designed specifically to remove metal hydroxides, calcium carbonate, and other similar scales. Used in a program that includes an alkaline cleaner for organics and particulate removal, this highly efficient product provides excellent foulant removal resulting in longer system run times and increased membrane life expectancy.

• For use on reverse osmosis (RO), nanofiltration (NF), ultrafiltration (UF) and micro-filtration (MF) membranes • Formulated to dissolve inorganic precipitants from the membrane surface • To chelate and remove oxides of iron and aluminum from the membrane surface
